Playoffs have already started or are quickly approaching for all our teams.  There have been many clutch performances from our athletes this past week.

Grant Anderson - Senior Soccer

Grant has been outstanding in recent games for the senior soccer team.  He has been playing with grit and determination and is making all the right decisions on the field.

Allie Lawlor - Senior Volleyball

Allie is only in Grade 10 but already a key member of the senior volleyball team.  She is beginning to understand how devastating she can be at the net.  Her superior athleticism will definitely make her a powerful presence in the years to come.

Olivia Okano - Senior Field Hockey

Olivia is another Grade 10 athlete who is playing at the senior level and thriving under the pressure.  Olivia has established herself as one of the top defenders on the team and rarely leaves the field.  The Cavs' amazing team defence was key to their three-game run to the Vancouver Sea To Sky Zone Championship last week.

Isabel Burns - Grade 10 Volleyball

Isabel has been in outstanding form in recent weeks.  She was terrific at the ISA Championships this past weekend and she seems to be getting better with every game.  She has established herself as the 'go-to' hitter on the Grade 10 team and also has a fantastic serve.

Elise Miller - Junior Cross-Country

Elise is in Grade 8 but she has been posting terrific times in the Grade 8-10 (Junior) meets.  Yesterday at the Vancouver Sea To Sky Zone Championships she finished 36th, which is an excellent finish for a Grade 8 athlete.  Coaches Field, Pool and Fraser cannot wait to see her in action in the coming years.

Thea Lutz - Junior Field Hockey

Thea has been solid all season in defence and has demonstrated improvement in her ability to channel, tackle and clear the ball. She showed incredible leadership, team spirit, and dependability on the field, most recently at the ISA Championship where the girls won a silver medal. Thea's spirited pep talks have become a cherished part of every game.

Flora Huang - Grade 9 Volleyball

During the tournament this weekend, Flora stepped into a new role seamlessly and executed a tricky play despite not having had the opportunity to practice it. Throughout some really tricky games against Grade 10 teams, Flora maintained a positive attitude and encouraged her teammates.

Brek Ball - Grade 9 Rugby

Brek has been fantastic all year, but he took it to a new level last week against St. George's.  Brek scored four tries in what Coach Larisch called 'one of the most devastating performances he's ever seen by a Grade 9 player'. High praise indeed for a player with a non-stop engine and terrific rugby skills.

Mitchell Stibbard - Grade 8 Rugby

Mitchell was physically unmatched in his multi-try-scoring effort to help the Grade 8 Boys' Rugby team overcome Carson Graham by a score of 63-28. Mitchell's hard running and ball-carrying evasion was one of many strong efforts that put the Collingwood team over the try line a number of times in the match.
