The cross-country runners headed off to Jericho Park yesterday for the Vancouver Sea To Sky Zone Championships. Like many days this fall, it was rainy and cold. Despite the adverse conditions, the team did very well. All year long, Coaches Katie Field, Dave Pool and Duncan Fraser have been impressed by their team's great attitude. Yesterday was no exception.
Top finishes for Collingwood were Elise Miller (Grade 8) who placed 36th in Junior Girls (Grade 8-10). As well, Niko Panagiotopoulos (Grade 8) placed 69th in Junior Boys (Grade 8-10) in only his second cross-country race of the year. Both these performances were outstanding considering that Elise and Nico have two more years to compete at the junior level.
