Both senior teams have earned berths in their home tournament final tonight. The girls won a hard-fought game yesterday morning against Rutland. This game had multiple lead changes and the Coach McLaughlin could only take that big breath of relief at the final buzzer.
The boys' game against Carson looked like it was going to be one for the ages. Carson raced out to a big lead, but the Cavs' three-point shooting brought them right back into it. At the end of the first quarter, it looked like it was going to be a battle right to the end. However, the Cavs turned up the pressure and their great defence started to slowly suffocate the Eagles. In the end, it was a comfortable win for Collingwood.
The girls' final is at 4:00 today and the boys follow at 5:45. Come out and support your Cavs.
