One of the real treats each year for the golf team is their match at Capilano Golf Club. Unfortunately, the nasty spring weather conditions once again appeared this past Tuesday. It was definitely not golf weather, but the Cavs persevered in the rain and cold and swept Chatelech in their match. Here is Coach Francis' report:
With conditions resembling January golf greeting us at the first tee box, the golf team's mental strength was tested early in their round against Chatelech. Aiden Snyman had the low round of the day shooting 79, with Oscar Yu one stroke behind scoring an 80. Kion Hafezi and Luke Pilkington were our second pairing, although not scoring as well as they'd like, found solid strengths in their games including driver performance and hitting several greens. Overall, the team emerged from the all weather challenge victorious taking all 7 points in the match.
The team now heads to Vancouver Island to compete in the ISA two-day tournament as well as one-day tournament in Delta.
Aiden Snyman pounds it down the middle on his way to an impressive 79.
Kion Hafezi and Luke Pilkington get ready to battle the elements and Cap's lightning fast greens.
Oscar Yu looks bemused at the horrible weather as he seeks refuge under his umbrella.
