After two quarters, the senior field hockey team was tied 0-0 with South Kamloops in their final game at the BC Championships. Some stern words from Coach Gold were heard at halftime and a completely different team emerged for the 3rd quarter. Alli Lavis quickly made it 1-0 and then added another after a nice pass from Sutton van Dyk. In the 4th quarter, Alli completed her hat-trick after a pass from Remy Caplan. Skyler Edstrand then joined in on the fun as she poked a ball past the South Kamloops goalie in a mad goalmouth scramble. Alli then scored her 4th of the game before Nadine Brenninkmeyer finished things off for the Cavs.
In the end, the 6-0 win was a great way to say goodbye to the team's four graduating players. Mo Kelly, Skyler Edstrand, Tori Punter and Sarah Murray all played their last game today for the Cavs. They will be sorely missed next year as they were all fine leaders and terrific players.
