After a tough loss this morning against the Windsor Dukes, the senior field hockey team rebounded nicely this afternoon with a 1-0 win over the JL Crowe Hawks. The Cavs played open flowing hockey and the 1-0 scoreline really does not do the team justice as they totally dominated play throughout the game. Collingwood came close on numerous short-corners but could not score until the 4th quarter when Allie Lavis brilliantly tipped a hard Olivia Okano shot into the top corner. It was a very pretty goal. Lexy Bannister and Mo Kelly shared the shut-out. The Cavs will close out their BC Championships with one last game tomorrow morning.
Ella Thompson has played very well throughout the Collingwood's first four games at the BC Championships.
Remy Caplan is one of the Grade 11 players who will be back next year with valuable experience from the BC Championships.
