March 5-9 marked the last week of Grade 8 Winter Explore. On Monday, students headed up Cypress Mountain for a fun day of skiing! Tuesday was a preparation day at school, where they practiced lighting stoves, prepared their gear and planned for the trip.On Wednesday morning, the students headed to Manning Park for their overnight wilderness adventure!
Trip Highlights:
The group had fun skiing in the fresh powder and using the T bar. They enjoyed playing the "hug a tree" game that focused on building group trust and increased students' awareness of their natural surroundings. The group got creative and designed some fun snow art on surrounding trees. Students helped celebrate Annalise's birthday with warm wishes and tasty brownies!
Below are our week four award winners. This is an amazing accomplishment for these grade 8 students! Please congratulate them if you see/teach them.
