Over the weekend of February 17 & 18, our Robocavs participated in a Provincial Qualifier competition hosted at Enver Creek Secondary. Our junior team had a fantastic run, making it to the semi-finals and finishing 3rd. Our intermediate team had an amazing showing scoring 186 points in the skills competition. This won them the Skills award with 3rd ranking in Canada and 13th in the world for skills. The intermediate team then went undefeated and finished first in the qualifying rounds! They followed this by choosing a solid alliance partner and winning the championship. Their skills, their play, and their robot so impressed the judges that they won the Excellence award. These all qualified them for provincials, and if they maintain a world ranking in skills above 35th they qualify for worlds. Keep up the good work Robocavs!
