The senior girls' soccer team came through with a very clutch performance on Monday to win their first league game of the year. Coach Mulock sends in this report on their big win:

The Senior Girls Soccer team played the third ranked Seycove Seyhawks on Monday. The girls came out hungry for a win and controlled possession throughout the game. Sophia Garofalo (Grade 8) along with Tiana Wong (Grade 12) had great shots on net and put pressure on their defensive line. Despite a few great opportunities the Cavaliers were not able to put the ball in the back of the net.

The game ended with a score of 0-0 and went into a shootout. With great shots from Megan Mauro, Ella Sandoval-Carlsten, Izzy Fry and Sophia Garofalo and some solid saves from keeper Jacquie Kelly (Grade 11) the Cavaliers won their first game of the season!

The girls are thrilled with the win and are looking forward to carrying the momentum gained from the win over into next week's must-win games against Sutherland on Monday, May 1st at Sutherland and Windsor on Wednesday May 3rd at Windsor.

Ella Sandoval-Carlsten scored one of the Cavs' goals in the penalty shoot-out.
