The Performing Arts Department at Collingwood School seeks an experienced, enthusiastic, Instrumental Music (Band) teacher for the Grade 8 to 12 Instrumental Program for September 2016. Subjects to be taught include Band, Jazz Band, Jazz Combo, Orchestra and broad based ensembles. Keyboard skills would be an asset – but are not essential.

The successful candidate will be the instrumental teacher in an established, multiple award winning program and someone who has experience with, or is willing to learn, how to collaboratively develop our new professional recording studio. He/she will provide an integral, sequential music experience from upper middle school into the senior grades. This team player will be a crucial member of a dynamic Performing Arts program that includes instrumental music, choir, drama and dance.

It is expected that this educator, along with his/her colleagues, would be involved with a yearly musical production, co-curricular jazz groups, broad-based and modern music ensembles, and student musical tours.
