Basketball season officially started last week and as usual Collingwood was front and centre as the school hosted the Junior Cav Classic. This year the tournament featured six girls' teams and eight boys' teams. The quality of play was excellent as Walnut Grove defeated St. Pat's in a the girls' final. In the boys' final, Carson Graham overcame a tough Kits team to take home the trophy. The Collingwood teams had a tough start to the tournament but both won their final game. The girls defeated Carson Graham, while the boys were victors over Shawnigan Lake School. A big thanks to Mr. Hautz and Ms. Mulock for all their work in organizing the tournament.
