It was an unusual first day at the BC AA Tennis Championships. Usually there are two pool matches for each team. However, due to the threat of rain on Friday and Saturday, a decision was made to play the quarter-final matches as well today.
None of this fazed the Collingwood team in the slightest as they rolled to three easy victories. They defeated RC Palmer 11-0 and South Kamloops 8-3 in pool play. They then bowled over Burnett 9-2 in their quarterfinal match to earn their 13th straight trip to the BC semi-finals.
The Cavs will now face Immaculata tomorrow in their semi-final.
Maya Negris will be a key player in tomorrow's semi-final matches.
Lachlan Robertson will be counted on to win all his matches tomorrow if the Cavs are to advance to the final.
